Winter/Spring 2016 Workshop Dates

Start 2016 creatively!! Learn a new skill, indulge yourself, spend cosy evenings drinking tea, eating biscuits, chatting and creating lovely pieces of silver jewellery! No experience necessary, all levels welcome, just contact me to sign up.

New workshop for 2016, Simply Lovely Silver Stacking Rings, due to the popularity of my Taster Class I've added a longer ring making workshop to enable you to make a number of different rings to mix and match, be careful, it is addictive...

I have opened a new spacious studio in the gorgeous town of Corbridge, check out my Workshops page.

I'm holding my workshops on a Sunday as Corbridge has free parking, let me know if you would prefer a Saturday.

Remember, if two or more people would like to do a workshop I will run it when it suits you, contact me to arrange a date.

Personal one to one workshops, £50.00 for half a day or £100.00 for a full day.

Half Day Taster Class

Not sure if jewellery making is for you?? Come along to a silver taster class! Sunday February 7th and Sunday March 13th 10.30 - 1pm. . In a half day class we will make beautiful simple silver rings, a number of skills will be experienced in this wee class - piercing (sawing), filing, sanding, texturing, soldering and polishing. It will give you a good idea of what is involved and what you can accomplish in a longer class, and you will have your own beautiful handmade silver ring to take home with you.

Cost £30.00 materials included.

5 Tuesday Evenings, Make What You Want!

Make what you want in 5 consecutive Tuesday evenings beginning Tuesday February 16th , last class is Tuesday March 15th. 6.30pm until 9.00pm (can be earlier or later to suit)

We will spend the first evening experimenting with copper, learning how to pierce (saw) and texture metal, this will allow you to gain confidence with working in metal, and inspire designs for the next class when we will begin working in silver! Previous students have created beautiful pendants, earrings, charms, bangles, rings, set stones and wire wrapped silver and stone bracelets.

Cost is £100.00, materials are extra.

Meditation/Spinner Rings

A one day workshop, Sunday February 14th, 10.00am - 4pm. These rings are a big favourite of mine, a chunky statement ring, flared to hold one or more satellite rings which move freely around, these can be made from silver or contrasting brass or copper as pictured below. We will cover a number or skills, piercing (sawing), soldering, texturing - using a jewellers rolling mill, hammers or stamps, forming, forging and polishing.

Cost is £70.00, materials are included in this price.

Beautiful Bangle Workshop

One day workshop, Sunday February 21st, 10am until 4pm. A big favourite! Make silver bangles, can mix them with brass and copper, make charms to jangle around them, personalised bangles with special name, dates and words.

Cost £60.00, materials extra.

New Workshop!! Simply Lovely Silver Stacking Rings..

Sunday February 28th 10 am until 2pm. Boosted by the ever popular Taster Workshop this is an extended version to allow you to make more rings to stack together, all different, personalise them, embellish them, have fun making them! Mix and match your own handmade silver rings.

Cost is £45.00, materials are included.

Silver Cuff Bangle

One day workshop, Sunday March 20th, 10am until 4pm. Make a stunning and statement cuff bangle, although this is a silver jewellery making workshop, you could make your bangle in copper or brass, or mix it up! You will learn how to pierce (saw) metal, solder, file, texture and polish silver and go home with a beautiful handmade cuff bangle made to fit and by you!

Cost £60.00. Materials are extra, for this workshop it may be between £10.00 - £15.00.

5 Tuesday Evenings, Make What You Want!

Make what you want in 5 consecutive Tuesday evenings beginning Tuesday April 5th , last class is Tuesday May 3rd, 6.30pm until 9.00pm (can be earlier or later to suit)

Cost is £100.00, materials are extra.

Wrap Around Rings!

One day workshop, Sunday April 10th, 10am until 4pm. No solder rings! These silver rings can be as chunky or fine and delicate as you want. We will texture these rings with punches hammers, my best friend the rolling mill, fun stamps can be used, gold, personalise them, brass or copper can be soldered on if you want to go for the fire experience!

Cost is £100.00, materials are extra, typically for this class (excluding any gold you may want to use) the cost is around £8.00 - £9.00.

Silver Earrings Workshop

One day workshop, Sunday April 17th, 10am until 4pm. Make beautiful silver earrings, these can be big and dramatic or small and delicate, dangles or studs, add gold, copper and or brass, hang sparkling stones from them if you so desire!

Cost £60.00, materials extra.

Wedding Ring Workshop - make your own wedding rings.

A very special workshop, couples can make their own or each others wedding rings, you have the option of 18c yellow gold, 9ct yellow gold, white gold, red gold and silver.
